WYATT "BUBBA" DUNCAN SHARP, JR.

Wyatt (Bubba) Duncan Sharp Jr., 73, of Jackson, Mississippi died Friday, September 24, 2021 at Madison County Nursing Home. He was born to Wyatt Sharp Sr. and Edna Burks Sharp on June 24, 1948 in Jackson. He is survived by his sister Dr. Kathleen Hudson (husband Dr. Robert Hudson) of Mountain Home, Arkansas; two sons, Dr. Wyatt Duncan Sharp III (wife Stephanie Baxter Sharp) of the Dallas, Texas area and Byron Montgomery Sharp (wife Dawn Perry Sharp) of Olive Branch, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Mallory Sharp, Scott Sharp, and Carson Sharp; and one great-granddaughter Lily Abelaye. He was preceded in death by his sister Cynthia (Sharp) Light, daughter Heidi (Sharp) Stallone, and grandson Wyatt Duncan Sharp IV. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 30th at Lakewood Memorial Park. Wyatt grew up in Jackson where he enjoyed playing sports. In 1970 he married Mary Louise Phillips and moved to Natchez, Mississippi and enjoyed singing in the choir at First Baptist Church where he was a member. His favorite hobby was power lifting which he did often with friends. He loved giving gifts to his three children and four grandchildren, especially during holidays. He worked in sales in Natchez for many years before moving back to Jackson. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease around 2002 which he battled for years until he died. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
