Ouida Hardy Graves

Ouida Lucille Hardy Graves, 95, died Saturday, October 10, 2020, at Peachtree Village, Brandon, MS.
A private service and burial will be at the Lakewood Memorial Park, Jackson Mississippi. Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, MS is handling the arrangements.
Ouida Graves went to be with the Lord Saturday afternoon, October 10, 2020. Mrs. Graves was born August 13, 1925 in Meridian, MS to Thomas Gaston and Ina Laird Hardy. She graduated from Central High School in Jackson, MS and earned Bachelors and Masters Degrees at Bob Jones University, Greenville, SC. She was the beloved wife of Rev. Ralph Graves for 58 years. During their marriage they served at Southern Baptist churches in Carson MS, Colquitt, GA, Cordele, GA, Vicksburg, MS and Laurel, MS.
Mrs. Graves was known throughout Mississippi as an accomplished piano teacher and church choir and solo accompanist with West Laurel Baptist Church her last position before retiring. She was a longtime member of the Jones County Music Teachers Association and served as adjudicator for many years for the Mississippi Baptist Church Music Festivals.
Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer (David) Clark of Jackson MS and Lisa (Chuck) Barrier of Houston TX, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Graves is also survived by one sister, Billie Fetterhoff of Wooster, OH along with a number of nieces and nephews.
Ouida Graves is preceded in death by her husband Rev. Ralph Graves, 2 infant children, and two brothers.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Peachtree Village for their work, thoughts and prayers during her ten year residence there. The family would also like to thank St Joseph Hospice and Kindra Peschke for their care of Mrs. Graves in her final days.
The family takes comfort in the assurance that Mrs. Graves is at peace and at home with her Savior and loved ones who have gone before.
