Willie Talmadge McNair, age 92, of Raymond, MS, entered his eternal rest on May 1, 2024. Talmadge was born on October 5, 1931, to Willie and Elizabeth McNair in Learned, MS. He resided in Raymond for almost 70 years.

He was employed at Hinds Community College before retiring in 1983. At that time he and his son Will started their full time farming operation, McNair Farms. He spent and enjoyed many long days in the field preparing and harvesting crops. He climbed off of his tractor for the last time in 2021 fulfilling his goal of "farming until I'm 90." He was a faithful and longtime member of Raymond Presbyterian Church where he served as both a deacon and an elder.

Talmadge was married to his loving wife Sue for 71 years. She predeceased him in 2022. Together they raised three children-Beth (Woody) Cox (who also predeceased him), Karen (John) Thomas, Will McNair, and "adopted" son Chad Bath. His grandchildren were his pride and joy- Britt (Sarah) Thomas, Kimberly (Daniel) Tackett, Jennie (Rick) Stanford, Kristen (David) Tinsley, Cassie St. Amant, Taylor McNair, and Madye Bath. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank his caregiver Tangela Fulwiley (Tan) for her faithful and loving care for him (and Sue) over the past 3 1/2 years. She will forever be a part of our family.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
