William Lloyd Richburg, 80, of Clinton, Mississippi, passed from this life early on the morning of April 6, 2024. Lloyd was born in Salters, South Carolina on November 20, 1943, to Dixon Lloyd and Eulalee Frances Richburg. Lloyd played baseball, basketball, football, tennis and ran track throughout high school. He graduated from Byram High School in 1964 and joined The Mississippi Army National Guard. Sergeant First Class Richburg served both as a military police officer and military chef. He retired in January, 1992. Lloyd married the love of his life, Helen (Ragan) Richburg in 1967. They had two sons, Jeff and Jason and raised their family in Clinton, MS. Lloyd and Helen owned and operated Richburg Hardware from 1983 until 2018. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his wife Helen Richburg of Clinton; sons, Jeffery Richburg (Angela) and Jason Richburg, both of Raymond, MS, grandchildren Cody, Jeffery, Aaron, Austin, Ripken and Roper; siblings Jo Wilkinson (Nellie) of Florence, MS, Rex Wilkerson of Jackson, MS, Paul Banis (Melanie) of Magee, MS, Debbie Givens of TN; and a host of family who loved and adored him.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 with visitation beginning at 11:30 a.m. before the service at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, MS. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. at Ragan Cemetery in Pelahatchie.
