William Kyzar Alford, Jr., of Brandon, MS, passed away on August 29, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on October 17, 1961, in Baton Rouge, LA, Kyzar lived a life defined by love for family, dedication to hard work, and a joy for living to the fullest, bringing a smile to everyone's face.
For 42 years, Kyzar worked in the trucking industry, where he was respected for his commitment, reliability, and tireless work ethic. Outside of work, he found joy in cheering on the LSU Tigers in football and spending time hunting and fishing. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished the time he spent with his family.
Kyzar was preceded in death by his father, William "Billy" Kyzar Alford, Sr., and his brother, David Keith Alford. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Pevey Alford; his children, Kasey Alford Blankenship (Jonathan), Kelli Alford Gledhill, and Brandon Keith Alford; his grandchildren, Jackson Gledhill, Lily Gledhill, Sims Blankenship, and Henley Blankenship; his mother, Mary Nell Alford Parker; and his sister, Melanie Kim Alford.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Flowood, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Natchez Trace Cemetery in Madison.
Kyzar's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy of family, hard work, and loyalty will never be forgotten.
