Virginia Lucille Giddy, 91, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the Flora Cemetery.

Mrs. Giddy was born on August 15, 1931, to James and Mary Lewis. She was a very giving and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her life was centered around taking care of her husband and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Flora, regularly attending services as her health would allow. Her life and actions centered upon her favorite scripture: "This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24.

Mrs. Giddy was preceded in death by her husband of 50 wonderful years Robert John "Bob" Giddy and her parents James N. Lewis and Mary Stone Lewis.

She is survived by her children Mike Giddy (Cindy), Jim Giddy (Sandra) and Candy Mills (Tommy); 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving caregivers of 17 years, who truly became a part of her family:  Margaret Odom, Debora Johnson, Felicia Jacks, Tamara McCullom, Sonya Hunter, Geanette Perkins and Gloria Odom.
