Vicki Lynn Hanna, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother went into Jesus' arms on Thursday, December 26, 2024.  She was born in Jackson, MS on June 28, 1948.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Hilda Schurr; her sister, Brenda; and her daughter, Lori.  Her life was one of love, devotion, and kindness, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Abia Hanna; her sons, Steven (Kimberly) Pickle, Cory (Cassidy) Hanna, and Rick (Stacy) Hanna; her daughter, Sherri (Steve) Childs; and her grandchildren, Jacob, Jessica, Jillian, Shawna, Trinity, Bradley, Kanon, Kylar, Cameron, Gage, Brian (Grace), Claire, Andrew, and Matthew.

She was a graduate of Provine High School and Hinds Jr. College.  She was employed for 28 years with the Mississippi Employment Security Commission before retiring to care for her mother and sister.  Throughout her life, she was faithful in sharing her love for Christ with her children and grandchildren.  She was a woman of deep faith, was a faithful member of Parkway Baptist Church, and her commitment to the Lord touched everyone around her.

Known for her generosity, thoughtfulness, and giving "little happies" – small gifts for family, friends, and neighbors, just because.  Her caring nature left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered, and she will forever be remembered for her selfless spirit.  She will be missed dearly, but her love, faith, and spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in her honor to Parkway Baptist Church, St. Jude Children's Hospital, or Batson Children's Hospital.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm and Memorial service at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home, 106 Cynthia Street, Clinton, MS  39056
