Obituary

Varnie Brewer, 78, died Sunday, May 10, 2015. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Wright and Ferguson in Clinton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday and again on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Flora Cemetery.

Mr. Brewer was born in State Line, MS on March 5, 1937 the son of the late Earl and Mabel Brewer. He was a graduate of State Line High School and Ellisville Jr. College. After graduation he served three years in the U.S. Army. He was the owner and operator for 30 years of Federal Construction Company. He loved NASCAR, fishing and visiting with friends and family. He never met a stranger and he was loved by all. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Wayne Brewer and an infant child Vonnie Jean Brewer. His survivors include his wife, Rita Richardson of Vicksburg; a sister, Janet Doming (Fred) of Mary Ester, FL; his children, Greg Brewer of Pensacola, FL; Gwen Brewer Sanders (Marvin) of Pensacola, FL; Jana Brewer of Pensacola, FL; and Michelle Brewer Jones (Derek) of Flora, MS; Tracy Allen (Johnny); nine grandchildren, Katherine French, Tara Sanders, Nichole Cragen, Marvin Sanders, Jr., Emily Brewer, Madison Brewer, Abby Perry, Hannah Perry and Morgan Robinson; as well as two great grandchildren, Kiara Sanders and Parker Robinson.
