Tom I. Crumby, 75, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 at St. Catherine's Village, Madison, Mississippi after a lengthy illness. Services will be held on Wednesday, September 26th at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at 10:00 a.m. at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, Mississippi. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. at Pittsboro Cemetery, Pittsboro, Mississippi.
Tom was born in Houston, Mississippi, December 26, 1942, to Tom Ira Crumby and Oneida Fondren Crumby. Tom attended Mississippi State where he majored in agricultural engineering and played the clarinet in the "Famous Maroon Marching Band." After graduation Tom worked for Pet Milk Company as a plant engineer until the 1970's, when he returned to his home state to farm cotton and soybeans until joining FMC Corporation in 1977. He retired from FMC as a Technical Service Representative in 2005.
Tom was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Clinton. He was also a member of the Central Mississippi Model Railroaders Association.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Byars Crumby, daughter, Beth (Tommy) Jolly, three grandchildren, Brittney (Brandon) Gibbs, Zachary Steele and Avery Whatley, stepdaughter Tara Rose (Joel) Greenwood, and grandchildren Peyton and Grace Greenwood. He is also survived by his brother Charles (Carol) Crumby of Collierville, TN, niece AnneMarie Harper and nephew James Crumby.
