Tina Stevenson Cranford (71) passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 5, 2022 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Stevenson, her mother, Mary Alice Stevenson Waggoner and her stepfather, Henry Waggoner.

Tina grew up in Raymond, Mississippi and graduated from Raymond High School. It was at Raymond High School that she met the love of her life, Wayne Cranford. Tina and Wayne then transitioned to University of Southern Mississippi. After graduation, Tina embarked on a career in education where she influenced numerous generations of students. Tina taught her students to love learning. She taught at Hillcrest Christian School and Hinds County Public Schools. Tina was an excellent seamstress and loved to make clothes for her daughters and granddaughters when they were little. Tina cherished watching her grandchildren grow and experience life. She loved to travel to the beach and her best memories were of the trips with family and friends. Her love for her family and friends is what we will cherish in our hearts forever.

Left to honor her memory are her husband of 50+ years, Wayne Cranford; daughters, Stephani Cranford Garrett (Tim) of Nesbit, Mississippi, and Robyn Cranford LeMaistre (Collin) of Marietta, Georgia. She also leaves the lights of her life, her grandchildren, Alyssa Claire Cranford, Alex Garrett, Ella LeMaistre, and Emery LeMaistre. She also leaves a bonus grandchild, Keeton Buffum. Tina is survived by one sister, Mary Beth Stevenson Drichta (Carl) of Metairie, Louisiana. She is survived by numerous family members and dear friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm – 8:00pm Thursday, September 8, 2022 and from 10:00am – 11:00am on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home of Clinton. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Roland-Claire Meeks Cranford Scholarship at Hinds Community College.
