Thomas Henry Shelton, 87, of Utica, MS, passed away on Monday July 7, 2025.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00pm until 7:0pm at Wright and Ferguson in Raymond and a graveside service will be held on Friday at 10:00am in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Learned, MS.

Mr. Shelton was born May 23, 1938 in Fayette, MS (Jefferson County).  He was the son of the late Mabry G. and Mamie King Shelton.  He worked most of his life in construction as a welder.  Mr. Shelton also honorably served his country in the United States Army. He also loved looking at horses as much as he loved riding them.  He could spend hours sitting outside just watching them run and eat.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Myra Elizabeth Shelton, his sisters, Virgie Edwards, Vera Martin and Alice Faye Shelton, his brothers, Mabry Shelton, Jr., Emory "Wimpy" Shelton, Morgan Shelton, Bobby Harper Shelton and Charles Larry Shelton.

He is survived by four children, Karen R. Stephens, Stacey S. Powell, Michael B. Shelton and Lisa Shelton-Pate.  Eight Grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
