Thomas Mike Knight died on Jan 23, 2022 after a brief illness. He was born Nov 8, 1950 in Laurel, MS to William Harold Knight, Sr. and Lucille Hill Knight. He attended Jones County Junior College and served in the Army National Guard and Air Force Reserve from 1968-1974. He married Lisa Knight (nee Nix) on May 20, 1978 while he worked in his sewing machine business. After a few more years, Mike was offered the opportunity to buy a work boot business in Laurel that he established as Boots & More. He retired in 2019 after having a career as a leader in the western boot and apparel industry. He loved mentoring his employees and serving customers. He has also enjoyed successfully raising and showing Paint and Quarter horses for about 25 years, traveling throughout the Midwest and Texas. After retirement Mike and Lisa enjoyed travelling across the western and central U.S. Mike proudly served his community through various ministries and as a deacon at Morrison Heights Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lisa; their son Matthew Knight (wife Kelly); their son Jess Knight (wife Whitney); grandchildren Benjamin, Abigail, and Tobias Knight, as well as his brother William Harold Knight, Jr (wife Snookie).

Visitation will take place from 9-11 am Thursday, January 27th at Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton, followed by funeral service at 11. Graveside service will take place at 3pm at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Soso, Mississippi.
