Thalia Shea Elkins, 78, died Monday, March 18, 2024 at Clare Bridge Memory Care of Brookdale, Clinton.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the Clinton Cemetery.

Ms. Elkins was born in Vicksburg, MS on October 11, 1945, the daughter of Earl and Ida Mae Presley. A lifelong resident of Clinton, she graduated from Clinton High School in 1963. She retired in 2017 after 40+ years of service from Mississippi College where she served as an administrative assistant to the Dean of the School of Business. Ms. Elkins was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton.

Ms. Elkins was loved and adored by many students and student assistants in her years at Mississippi College. She was especially fond of baking and will always be remembered for her famous homemade brownies. She will be remembered most as a devoted wife, a beloved mother, and a cherished grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernie W "Bill" Elkins, Jr. and her sister Virginia E. Presley, both of Clinton.

She is survived by her son, Will Elkins and his wife Audra of College Station, TX; daughter, Missy Jackson and her husband Chris of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Caroline and Benjamin Jackson; sisters, Lillian Holbrook of Clinton, Billie Stevens and her husband David of Clinton; and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) or to Brookdale Memory Care in Clinton.
