Pastor Terri Moore died Wednesday June 30th at home with family at her bed side. She was 72.
Pastor Terri was born in Memphis, TN and attended Memphis State University. She joined the IBM Corporation as an office products sales person in Tupelo, MS. While making a sales call she met her husband, Bill Moore, of 43 years. She quit a successful sales career to raise their three children Sam, Christine and Brooks. Pastor Terri was active in ministry for our Lord Jesus Christ as her husband's career took them from Tupelo, to Atlanta, Kansas City, and eventually to the Clinton/Jackson Metro area for forty years.
The driving force in Pastor Terri's life was Matthew 6:33 "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you." This passion for serving and sharing the word led her to obtain a ministerial license through Christian International and eventually starting the Freedom Ministries International Church in Jackson. Pastor Terri had a deep love for the men and women who serve in the Jackson/Hinds County Police and Fire Departments. She was a chaplain for the Jackson City Police and Fire Departments as well as Hinds County Sherriff.
Survivors include her husband, William G. Moore of Clinton, MS, one son, Samuel L. Moore, of Jackson, MS and two daughters, Christine McClurkin of Pelham, AL, Brooks Herring of Ridgeland, MS; one brother, Tim Warren of Memphis, TN; one sister, Angel Giles of Olive Branch, MS and five grandchildren, Harper Herring, Julia Herring, Isabel Herring, Clint Herring and William McClurkin. She will be missed every day, but we are rejoicing that our Gigi is healed and whole. She is dancing with Jesus. See you soon Momma!
