Tempel "Tem" Winford Carty, Jr. passed away on December 27, 2021. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on December 30, 2021 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Raymond with a graveside service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Learned.

Tem is survived by his parents, Tempel Carty, Sr. and Sylvia Rhea Carty; his brother, Kendall Carty; his sister, Julie Carty; and dear friends, Natalie and Dale Pryor.

Tem served in the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Navy. He attended Calvary Baptist Church in his youth where he was baptized. He later became a member of Salem Baptist Church. Tem enjoyed wood carving, painting and cooking.
