Sylvia Myers Parrish, age 97, passed away on February 11, 2026, at home in Florence, MS.

Sylvia is survived by daughter, Teresa Ann Berry; grandchildren (Chase, Angel, Misty, and Wendy); son, Kerry Virgil Parrish and wife (Mary Ann); grandchildren, (Dustin and Justin); 7 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and sister Betty Butler.

She is preceded in death by her Husband Virgil Parrish; parents, Vernon and Irene Myers and six brothers.

Virgil and Sylvia married on December 4, 1948, married 75 years. They made their home in Jackson MS and attended Siwell Road Church of Christ in Jackson, MS.

A visitation will be held for Sylvia on February 13, 2026, from 10:00am – 11:00am at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home of Flowood, 114Burney Drive, Flowood, MS 39232 followed by the funeral service at 11:00am. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
