Susan
Gore
December 1, 1968 – November 11, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Joy Cullum Gore, 55, of Brandon, MS on November 11, 2024.
Services will be held at 2 pm Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral home in Flowood officiated by Jeff Nesbit.
Susan was born December 1, 1968, the daughter of Max and Ann Cullum in Columbus, MS. She graduated from Forest High school and attended Mississippi State University.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph "Beau" Gore and her son, Maxwell Gore; her parents, Max and Shirley Cullum; her siblings and their spouses, Janet and Dan Horton, Craig Cullum, Connie and Tony Jackson, David and Bentley Bonner; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Ann Cullum.
Susan was a devoted wife and loving mother. Her warmth, laughter, and caring spirit left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Susan worked in the restaurant industry for many years, developing lifelong connections with her co-workers and guests. She had a deep appreciation of music and sports especially football and any opportunity to see Max play. Susan lived her life with boundless compassion, bringing joy-as her middle name so aptly described- to those around her, especially a close group of wonderful, generous and loyal friends she maintained for many years. She will be deeply missed.
As a lifelong member of the United Methodist church, Susan found solace and purpose in her faith. Her presence was a source of light and comfort to family and friends. We honor her legacy of kindness and love. As we grieve, we take comfort in Romans 8:38-39: "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations to Websters Animal shelter in Susan's memory.
