Susan Smith Carley passed away at the age of 58 on January 31, 2024 at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. Susan was born on August 31, 1965 in Wilmington, NC at James Walker Hospital. Her parents were Bobby Dee Smith and Joyce Hunt Smith. Susan graduated from St. Andrews Episcopal School and went on to Mississippi State and UMMC where she received her Bachelors in Nursing. She had a successful nursing career until her retirement. Susan passed away surrounded by family. She is proceeded in death by her father, Bobby and her mother, Joyce. She is survived by her daughters Morgan Carley and McKenzie (William) Garrard, granddaughter Charlotte Garrard, aunt Bettie Hunt, cousin Lori Williams and many dear friends.

Susan was a very charismatic, witty, passionate person who sincerely loved her two daughters, friends, family, and fur babies. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CARA Mississippi Animal Rescue or Cheshire Abbey.
