Sue Webb Blake, 90, died Monday, September 12, 2016 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00, Thursday, September 15 at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS. Arrangements are with Wright and Ferguson in Clinton.
Sue was born on November 21, 1925 in Bardwell, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ollie and Novella Webb. She was a graduate of Murray State University with a Bachelor's degree in Music. After working as a music teacher for one year, she went back to school and changed her profession to a bookkeeper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Elaine Lester of Hemet, California and Julia Ann Barton of Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Robert (Bob) Blake; son, Michael Blake and wife, Si of Tega Cay, SC; daughter, Deborah Henderson and husband Aaron of Madison, MS; grandchildren, Will, Rachel, and Tucker Sigh, Aaron Henderson and wife Allison, Amanda Pate and husband Russ and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their sincerest thanks to the special friends and long-time caregivers who loved and supported Sue and the family throughout her illness.
