Shirley Williams, 85, went home to be with her Maker on August 15, 2021. Born September 23rd, 1935, Shirley will be fondly remembered for her pecan pies, mastery of rook, and stunning ability to ruin a stern talking-to with her giggles.
Shirley Williams shared 57 years of her life with James Williams, the man she adored. After his death on April 9th of 2013, she showed a great deal of strength in assuming the responsibilities he left behind. Shirley loved her neighbors, often expressing to her family how grateful she was to be surrounded by loving people so generous with their time and resources. Shirley worked at Southern Farm Bureau in downtown Jackson and later as a bookkeeper for Jim's Auto Service. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Flora.
