Sharon Leigh was born January 22, 1947 to Eduard and Golda Walden in Ventura, California.

After fancying his moves at a singles dance, she married the love of her life, Richard Mort on July 10, 1976. Though they began their life together in California and lived in several states over the years, they settled in Mississippi in 2005. Before her health declined, they attended Parkway Baptist Church in Clinton, MS but also enjoyed watching online each Sunday once attending became increasingly difficult. Prior to her passing , they resided together at Clinton Healthcare Facility. Sharon enjoyed several hobbies through her life as well as traveling. She will be missed by close friends and her adoring husband Richard.

Visitation for Sharon will be held at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, MS on Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
