Shari Irene
Hinojos
December 30, 1956 – September 10, 2025
Shari Irene Hinojos, born November 30, 1956, in Kansas, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, at the age of 68. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose love and kindness will be remembered forever.
The daughter of the late Robert and Sharon (Ginther) Lewis, Shari was raised with strong values of faith, family, and hard work. As a young teenager, she moved with her family to Idaho Springs, Colorado, where she graduated from Clear Creek High School.
In 1971, Shari married the love of her life, Andrew Hinojos. Together, they shared 54 years of marriage filled with laughter, resilience, and unwavering partnership. Shari's greatest joy in life was being a mother to her four children: Anthony, Aaron, Alexander, and Alaina. She often said motherhood transformed her life for the better, and she poured her whole heart into nurturing, guiding, and supporting her family. Later, she and Andrew settled in Brandon, Mississippi, where she embraced retirement and especially loved being a grandmother.
Shari cherished family gatherings, particularly holidays like Christmas Eve and Easter, when her home overflowed with laughter, love, and the joy of seeing her children and grandchildren together. To her family, she was the heart of every celebration, the gentle presence who made moments memorable.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Sharon Lewis, and her beloved son, Anthony Hinojos.
Shari is survived by her loving husband, Andrew; her children Aaron (Laura Diane) Hinojos and their daughters, Stella and Vita; Alexander (Laura Beth) Hinojos and their daughters, Olivia and Madeline; and Alaina (Jeffrey) Reed and their sons, Ryan and Oliver. She is also survived by her grandson, Anthony Hinojos Jr.; her sister, Charlotte Bath; her brothers, Greg and Brad Lewis; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss her profoundly.
A memorial service was held to celebrate Shari's life, October 19, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. at Refuge 16 Church (Suite 602) and the ANEX (Suite 614) at Grants Ferry Shopping Venue in Brandon, Mississippi.
Shari's legacy is one of love, faith, and family. Though her family's hearts are heavy, they find comfort in knowing she is reunited with her parents and son, and that the light she brought into their life will shine on for generations.
