Scharlene Tanner, 92, of Pearl, MS passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Merit Health River Oaks Hospital. Services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Flowood. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Fairmont Waco Cemetery in Mize, MS.

Ms. Tanner was born June 11, 1930 to the late Claude and Lula Spangler Tebo. She married Billy Ray Tanner and together they had three children. She retired as a mail clerk from the State Tax Commission.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Alan Tanner; daughter, Theada Nelson; five brothers and two sisters.

Ms. Tanner is survived by her daughter, Treaba Robinson and husband, Ben; grandchildren, Ben Robinson, Cory Lain, Cody Tanner, Kristina Payne and Clayton Nelson; and great-grandchildren, Julian Sanchez, Levi Hatten, Drake Nelson, Kaylin Nelson, Brody Tanner, Easton Tanner, and Layla Netterville.
