Sara Jane Hewitt, age 56 of Clinton, MS passed away Thursday March 16, 2023 at Clinton Healthcare after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. Born on September 4, 1966, she was a graduate of Clinton High School (1984), and later graduated from Mississippi College in 1988. After college, she was employed at BWI in Jackson. She married Larry Hewitt in 1994.

Sara was preceded in death by her son John Trey, husband Larry, her parents W.E. Laird and Hilda Jane Laird, her uncle Bennie Smith, her aunt Marie Smith, and cousin Don Smith.

She leaves behind her daughter Tabitha Hewitt-Rafferty, her siblings Ronnie Laird (Beverly) of Vicksburg, MS; Mike Laird (Pam) of Ruckersville, VA; James Laird (Angie) and Gloria Laird of Clinton, MS; her nephew Zachary Laird and niece Elizabeth Windham.

Her smile lit up any room and she was loved by everyone she met. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Sara Hewitt Memorial Fund.
