A Celebration of Life of Sandra Shelton Mills, whose kind and beautiful spirit departed this earth on May 2, 2017, will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 beginning at 10:00 AM with the service at 11:00 AM in Clinton, MS at the Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home located at 106 Cynthia St, Clinton, MS 39056. The burial will follow at the Lakewood Memorial Cemetery.

Sandra was born on June 28, 1934 in Hazlehurst, MS to Ludwell Hunter (L.H.) and Agnes Shelton.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, the Reverend Paul C. Mills, who was a minister at the First Christian Church in Jackson MS. She is survived by her three children, David C. Franklin, Larry H. Franklin and Cynthia Diane Ross and two grandchildren, Nicholas Ross and Madeline Ross.

Sandra graduated from Central High School and was active in the First Christian Church in Jackson, at the First Christian Church in Ada, Oklahoma and then at the Cooper Road/Covenant Christian Church in Jackson. Sandra was a universally loved person for her sweet and gentle nature and for always offering love and caring words to everyone. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh and have fun. She threw wonderful birthday parties for her children and always welcomed her children's friends to her home and was much loved much by her children's friends as well. Our mother and grandmother will be missed terribly by her children, grandchildren, friends and all who knew her.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers who gave her love and care and to express their deep and sincere gratitude for their kind and compassionate care.
