Ruthie A. "Alean" (Tedder) Hancock, 88, was born August 8, 1928 in Bentonia, MS to James M. and Myrtle (Peeples) Tedder. In November of 1947, she tied the knot of Holy Matrimony with Clyde M. Hancock and in 1952 they moved to Raymond, MS where they lived until their passing.
As one of 10 children, Mrs. Hancock was preceded in death by all of her siblings, her parents and her beloved husband.
Known for years as "Ms Alean", she was an active member of the community and supporter of the Raymond Methodist Church.
Mrs. Hancock is survived by three children; Daniel P. (Bernie) Hancock, Deidred L. Hancock and Delena M. (Duff) Hancock-Strand as well as ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, MS on Monday, January 23, from 9:00am to 11:00am with service following at 11:00am. Burial will be at the Raymond City Cemetery.
