Ruth H. Windham, 92, died March 8, 2016 at Meadowlark Hills in Manhattan, Kansas. She was born in Jackson, Mississippi and resided there until 1986 when she moved to Atlanta, after her husband died, to be near her son's family. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother who loved children immensely and worked in an infant day care until age 84 just to be around them. She also loved to cook for friends and family, and was known for her fried chicken and Amish bread.

She was the widow of J.V. Windham, Jr. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Denise Windham of Denton, Texas and 2 grandchildren, John Windham of Manhattan, Kansas and Jennifer Windham of Dallas, Texas.

Arrangements are being managed by Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, MS. A graveside service will be held at Lake Memorial Park on Saturday, March 19th, at 11:30am.
