Ruth Carroll Rester, 88, passed away Thursday September 5, 2013 at home. Visitation will be 57pm Tuesday September 10, 2013 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton. Graveside services will be 10:30am Wednesday September 11, 2013 at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Ruth was born January 10, 1925 in Bogalusa, LA and married Ben Joseph Rester March 6, 1943. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Zula Carroll brother, Winston H. Carroll daughter, Mary C. Rester and husband, Ben Joseph Rester.

She was a world traveler, former Girl Scout leader, a volunteer at the Clinton Nature Center and Museum of Art, charter member of Clintons Historical Society, a member of the Red Hat Society and many other senior activities. She was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church and current active member of First Baptist Church of Clinton where she was a member of the Senior Choir.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Aeschliman grandson Kevin Aeschliman Judy granddaughter Amy Echiburu Tito greatgrandchildren Kayla and William Thompson and Aaron, Bella, and Jacob Echiburu sister, Irene C. Scott and numerous other extended family members.
