Roy Thomas "Lucky" Pace, 81, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, went to rest with Jesus on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Born on September 19, 1943, in Jackson, Mississippi, he was a devoted husband and a loving father and grandfather leaving a profound influence on everyone in his life. We find comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
Lucky was hard-working and dedicated. He served in the Navy and later retired from Kroger after many years of employment as the Produce Manager. He was a man of great humor, integrity, kindness, strength and love and he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy - he treasured the time he spent with them.
Lucky's vibrant spirit bought joy to everyone around him. He enjoyed music, dancing and he had a wonderful sense of humor. He always had a joke to share and his laughter warmed the room.
He is survived by his wife of 62 Years, Twyla Pope Pace; Son, John Thomas Pace and wife Lucy; Daughter, Mary "Teresa" Hymel and husband Jody; daughter-in-law, Erika Pace; sister, Esther McQuien; grandchildren, Mitchell Pace, Haley Pace, Corby Pace, Kelsey Kircher and husband Zach, Matthew Pace, and Raegan Pace; great-grandchildren, Gracie, Zachary, Kinsley, Timothy, Gabriella, Elizabeth, Raymond, Lexi, Emilee, August, Matthew, Thomas and Tanner; as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Lucky was proceeded in death by his sons, Roy Timothy Pace and Tony Ray Pace; parents, Albert Thomas Pace and Ruby Mae Orton Pace; and grandchildren Timothy Michael Pace and Tristian Michele Necaise.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge for their compassionate care and support during Lucky's final days on this side of Heaven.
A funeral service officiated by Rev. Jason Dillion will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 12 noon at the graveside in Sinai Cemetery in Florence, MS. In the event of severe weather the interment service will be held at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, Mississippi.
