Rosemarie Reese Regina born to Charles Reese and Evelyn Elleby Reese in Warren, PA November 28, 1938, passed away at age 83 November 19, 2022 at Hospice Ministries after a battle with metastatic colon cancer.
Rose was raised in the town where she was born. The only daughter of five siblings, she was the middle child. She was a die hard Dragon at Warren High School where she graduated in 1956. While there she was involved in Drama, half-court basketball, and where she would develop a lifelong love of music becoming an accomplished soprano and violinist in various local and state choirs and orchestras.
After high school Rose attended Grove City College in Grove City, PA where she graduated with honors with an Associates degree in Office Administration. After college she would move to Jamestown, NY. where she married and divorced Cornelius Richard. They had a daughter together.
Rose moved back to her hometown, and began working at W. B. Driver where she met Frank Regina who was raising five of his own children after a divorce. The love of her life, they would marry October 31, 1964, and have a yours, mine, and ours family with a total of seven children having another daughter together, ranging in age from newborn to 17 years old. They would move several different times over the years eventually settling in Clinton, MS.
Rose was a devoted mother to this motley crew being very involved in Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and as a booster parent. Rose made time for herself as well, over the years, being involved in slow-pitched softball and bowling teams. She was a member of the prestigious Masterworks Chorus of Ocean City, NJ for 5+ years. She and her husband were avid square dancers, and co-presidents of the MS Square and Round Dance Association where they lobbied to make Square dancing the state American folk dance of Mississippi. She has also been a docent at the Mississippi Museum of Art. Most recently she has enjoyed her dominoes club, and being a member of the Hand Bell Choir at First United Methodist Church in Clinton, MS and their Adult Bible Study group, as well as, being a recent Co-President of the Twin Lakes Homeowners Association.
Rose would work with various companies over their many moves including GTE Sylvania, Mennen Co., Piper Industries, Singer Restaurant Equipment Co., and most recently the Mississippi School Board Association where she retired.
Rosemarie was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Frank Regina, brother Charles Reese, and stepson Richard Regina. She is survived by brothers Robert, James, and William Reese. As well as, her daughters Cheryl Quarles and Diane Hunsinger, Step children Judi Regina-Whitely, Cathy Denney, William Regina, and Timothy Regina, her further progeny are 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 3 great, great grandchildren.
Services are being held for Rosemarie on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home at 106 Cynthia St. Clinton, MS 39056. Visitation will be from 12:00 - 2:00 with Service following at 2:00, and interment after at Clinton Cemetery, 500 East College Street Clinton, MS 39056.
