Ronald Eugene Millington, 91, died Saturday, October 28, 2023 at The Arbor in Ridgeland, Mississippi.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 2, 2023 at St Paul Catholic Church at 11 am with visitation one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to St. Paul Catholic Church or Enhabit Hospice.

Ron was born December 9, 1931 in Flint, Michigan to John and Ethel (Robbins) Millington.  He graduated from Fenton High School in 1950 and went on to receive his accounting degree from Cleary College in 1952.   Ron enlisted in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-56 where he was an aircraft mechanic.  While in the Air Force he met and married Shirley Taylor.  They were married for 17 years and had a daughter, Diane.   Ron began his accounting career at General Motors in Flint, Michigan in 1956 retiring from GM Service Parts Operations in 1987.  Ron married Barbara Mater August 4, 1972. She preceded him in death January 5, 2005.  After losing his wife Barb, Ron was reunited with his high school sweetheart, Joan Becker, and they were married December 7, 2006.  She preceded him in death August 20, 2019.   Ron was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Ron is survived by daughters Diane (Terry) Sievert, Marianne Garland, and Roxanne (Mark) Laney; grandchildren Kristen (Bill) Meyer, Travis Sievert, Julie Roberts, Susie Motter; several great-grandchildren; brothers Wayne (Sandy) Millington and Dale (Barbie) Millington, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Also surviving are Joan's children and their families.  He was also preceded in death by great-grandson Terrence Meyer, son-in-law Randy Garland, his parents and sister Jean Goss.

Ron's family would like to thank Enhabit Hospice and the staff at The Arbor Nursing Home for all of their love, support and caring for Ron these past 4 years; they became part of his extended family
