Obituary

Ron Ainsworth passed away October 27, 2018, just 59 days before Christmas. He was born in Jackson, MS on August 24, 1959 and raised in Raymond. Ron graduated from Raymond High School in 1977, then attended Hinds Community College from 1977-1979 where he studied business and political science. Later, Ron enrolled at the University of Mississippi from 1979-1980 where he studied business and pre-law.

Ron was a real estate agent with Keller-Williams and loved to "ring the bell" after his closings. He had a love for automobiles and kept them in immaculate condition. Weather permitting, he visited the carwash at least once per day. Ron enjoyed good food. Oftentimes he would drive his Mercedes convertible to the Blue Rooster, one of his favorite restaurants. Whenever he ate out, he would order water with a lot of lemons, with a Coca Cola on the side.

The countdown until Christmas was always on Ron's mind, as evidenced by his habitual posts on Facebook about how many days were left until Christmas. He would also post daily driving tips, a thought for the day, and a business tip for the day.

Ron loved his puppy (Solomon), his Coca Cola collection, social media, Brach's candy corn at Halloween time, and Lifesavers (but not the green ones). More than anything, he loved to meet new people. Ron never met a stranger. His loud laugh was infectious. He was a worker who was always willing to lend a helping hand. It gave Ron great joy to help and encourage people. Ron was giving and enjoyed buying petit fours at Primos which he would deliver to friends as a "happy."

When he was a young man, Ron made two appearances on the hit television show, Dallas. In one episode, Ron portrayed Sue Ellen's boyfriend. In another episode, Ron was a bidder at the cattlemen's auction.

Ron never required much sleep, and instead spent a great deal of time reading late at night or early in the morning. He read a countless number of books during his lifetime and left behind a huge book collection.

One reason Ron knew so many people was because he worked at many different places around the country. Some of his former employers are Muse Air Corporation, Manpower Group, TranStar Airlines, and Antonelli College. He was also a mentor and life coach to many.

Needless to say, God only made one Ron Ainsworth.

Ron counted it a privilege to take care of his mother until her very end. He is preceded in death by his parents, H. S. Ainsworth and Mildred Ainsworth, as well as his brother, Roy Ainsworth. He is survived by his sister, Doris Hull; his brothers, Rodney Ainsworth; Ray Ainsworth; and James Ainsworth. Also, Ron is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held October 30, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Wright & Ferguson in Raymond, MS. Also, visitation will occur on October 31, 2018 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Pinelake Church in Clinton, MS with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m.
