Robert "Bob" Nelson, age 85, formerly of Jackson, died August 21, 2021. Bob was born on May 11, 1936 in Scoby, Montana.

He served 4 years in the Navy after high school graduation. While attending Riverside Community College in California, he met the love of his life, Joann Melvin Nelson. They married June 23, 1960. He enjoyed many church trips to the Rocky Mountains, mission Trips to Crystal, New Mexico, and locally with the AWPC Sunshine Club. When Alta Woods closed, they move their membership to Brandon Presbyterian Church.

He was a beloved husband to Joann for 61 years. He was a faithful father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is preceded in his death by his parents, Claire and Sylvia Nelson, his Aunt: Janie Carlson (who raised him), his sister: Carol Nelson, his brother: Johnny Nelson, his cousins: Eileen and Rick Stuve, His son: Danny Nelson, and his son in law: JD Ford.
