Robert Edward Lee, 90, passed away at home after an extended illness on February 23, 2017.
Visitation will be from 10:00am to 12:00pm Monday, February 27, 2017 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton. A Funeral Service will be at 12:00pm Monday with burial to follow in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Edward graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mississippi College in 1950. He served in the U. S Navy and was honorably discharged in 1946. He worked as an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Fire Arms where he retired in 1981. He continued employment after his retirement with the Hinds County Sheriff Department. He has also been a member of First Baptist Church of Clinton since 1963.
Edward was preceded in death by his Wife of 61 years Martha Brown Lee. He is survived by sons, Ed (Nadine) Lee of Richardson, TX and Ken (Daynelle) Lee of Clinton; grandchildren, Trey (Erika) Lee of Allen, TX, Tyler (JoBeth) Lee of Madison, MS, and Kendal Lee of Clinton and Great grandsons Walker and Shepard Lee of Madison, MS.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all of Mr. Lee's caregivers; Annie Daniel, Betty James, Emma Lloyd, Joyce Henderson and Kim Henderson. Especially to Joyce and Kim Henderson who provided care to the family for 18 years. We are indebted to their loving care.
