William Rex Robinson, 77, passed away Monday, November 25, 2024, at his home in Clinton.
Rex was born January 9, 1947 to Rex William Robinson and Lany Elizabeth Abernethy Robinson in Greenwood, MS.

His youth was spent in Meridian, MS until the age of 10 when his family moved to Raymond, MS. He graduated from Raymond High School and attended Hinds Community College for one semester before joining the Army in 1967. After basic training he joined the Army Reserves making a 40-year career and achieving the rank of CW4 (Chief Warrant Officer). His civilian jobs were in automobile parts and sales at Fowler Buick and Paul Moak Pontiac. He became the distributor of Panasonic car audio before retiring.

Rex is preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Lany Robinson; and brother, Lanny Richard Robinson.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Mae Bonner Robinson; children, Elizabeth R. Thornton (David) of Clinton, MS, Rex W. Robinson (Diana) of Pearl, MS, and Amanda R. Davis of Clinton, MS; 6 grandchildren; brother, Buddy Robinson (Sharon) of Madison, MS; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 10:00am on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home, Clinton, MS. Funeral services will be at 12:00pm in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at the Raymond Cemetery.
