Reggie J. Manuel, an executive sous chef and life-long resident of Jackson, MS, succumbed to cancer on July 26, 2019 at the age of 37 with his wife and mother at his bedside.
Reggie is survived by his wife Rebecca Glenn of 10 years, daughter Della Manuel, mother Linda Manuel, sister Lexus Dedeaux, brother Deandre McGowan, and nieces and nephew LaMiya, Andrea, and Cruz. Reggie was an extremely loving husband, father, son, and a friend to many.
As many of you know Reggie chose to fight this horrible disease as the only way he knew how, with a tremendous amount of hard work and a positive attitude. Even in a great deal of pain he worked every day with a smile on his face. Reggie wanted to show his daughter and family that he was strong and could conquer even the toughest battle.
There are too many friends to name and those he chose to be around please know how much he really loved you. Thank you for helping support him and our family! You helped keep him positive which I believe extended his life.
To all the healthcare workers at M.D. Anderson, University of MS Medical Center, and Hospice Ministries… THANK YOU!
Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 pm with services to follow at 4:00 pm at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Flowood, MS on Wednesday, July 31st.
