Henry Randolph "Randy" Journeay, 75, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at his home in Brandon surrounded by his loving family. Services will be held at 2pm on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Flowood. The family will receive friends from 1pm – 2pm. Graveside services will follow at Doty Springs Cemetery in Kosciusko at 4:30pm.

Randy was born August 23, 1946, in Kosciusko, MS to the late William J. "Bill" and Gladys L. "Jackie" Ellard. At a young age, his family moved to Leland, MS and called the MS Delta home until 1992.  A graduate of Leland High School, he proceeded to continue his education at Mississippi State University and was a graduate of the class of 1970 in General Agriculture.  During his time at MSU, he proudly served in the National Guard for six years.

Randy started his working career as a Delta farmer and called this his career until the early 1980s. In 1988, the same year Randy and Janie welcomed their daughter, he made a career change into the insurance industry.  Janie and Randy moved their family to Brandon, MS in 1992 and he called the Reservoir home to the day of his passing. He had many professional successes throughout his career until he retired in 2015.

Randy had many passions throughout his life, including supporting local politics, tailgating at Mississippi State football and baseball, his love of the family cats, especially his most recent "grumpy" cat Sawyer, entertaining any time a good party was called for, and being a lifelong Dale Earnhardt fan.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, William Andy Journeay.

Randy is survived by his wife, Janie Journeay; daughter, Randall J. White and husband Chris; stepson, Jason Fratesi and wife Jaime; grandsons, Eli and Jase Fratesi and granddaughter, Ava Fratesi.

Officiating will be Thomas Harris and Jonathan Harris. Pallbearers are Kenny Thomas, Skeet Edwards, Baxter Burns, Kevin Watson, Ronnie Moore, and "Stay" W.G.Young. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Fratesi, Christopher White, Ricky Mangrum, Ken Buckles, Bob Thomas, Matt Barnes, Lee Lampton, Hunter Morris, Harper Ross, Mark Azlin, Wiley Aldridge, Henry Hamill and Calvin Redwine.
