Randall "Randy" Pray Bower, 73, reached her eternal reward on Thursday, October 4, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Morisson Heights Baptist Church in Clinton. A graveside service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS immediately following the funeral service. Visitation will be begin 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Morisson Heights Baptist Church.
Randy was born in McComb, MS September 17, 1945, the daughter of the late Dorothy J. Pray and Hubert Q. Pray. She married William B. "Bill" Bower on September 20, 1963. A graduate of Murrah High School in Jackson, she attended Mississippi College as a young and middle-aged mother. She was only a few credits short of graduating when physical difficulties prohibited her from continuing her education.
Though she was a remarkably capable woman, she chose not to spend her time in the workplace. Instead, she invested her time in her family, her church, and her neighbors. She, like her mother and mother-in-law, was an amazingly gifted pianist and was also a passionately creative soul. There is not space or time to list all of the ways she served her family, the church, and those around her. However, she dearly loved teaching children in Sunday School with Bill for years, singing in the church choir most of her life, playing the piano for various ministries on occasion, and sharing herself and praying with others in their time of need. Bill was the love of her life, her children were her treasure, her grandchildren were her delight, and Jesus is her reward.
She is preceded in death by her eldest son, Lee Bower; survived by her husband, Bill Bower of Clinton; children, Chris Bower and wife Krista, Kevin Bower and wife Courtney. Grandchildren are Roman, Graeme and Elise Bower and Rose, Jack, Emma and Luke Bower.
Memorials may be made to Morisson Heights Baptist Church (NOTE: Until He Comes Campaign) 3000 Hampstead Blvd, Clinton, MS 39056).
