Pauline McMichael Shank, 96, passed away at her home on December 17, 2017.
A Graveside Service for Polly will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at 12:00 PM at Highland Cemetery in Hattiesburg, MS. Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton will be in Charge of Arrangements.
Polly was born in Vredenburgh, AL on October 21, 1921 to Jessie McMichael and Lorena Clayton. She grew up in Hattiesburg and Petal and in 1940 graduated from Petal High School. Polly was a proud member of the Jackson Police Department from 1953 to 1962 and owner of Shank Communication Co. in Jackson for 37 years. She was also President of the PTA at Davis School in 1958, President of the Jackson Riding Club in 1984 and a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson where she taught a 2nd Grade Sunday School Class for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her Parents and her husband Robert Shank.

She is survived by daughters Linda Stone; Gail Watkins; Roxanne Routt; son Clay Shank; sister June Renfrow and 10 Grandchildren.
