Paul A.
Mccraw
April 20, 1941 – September 1, 2025
With heartfelt gratitude for a life remarkably well-lived, we celebrate the life of our brother, Paul, who peacefully passed on this morning at the age of 84, leaving behind a timeless legacy of unwavering love. Paul had one son, Paul Dewayne McCraw, Charleston SC; one brother, Richard E. McCraw (Linda); one sister, Peggy McCraw Runnels; and his stepdaughter, Tarza Bailey. Paul demonstrated extraordinary courage in the face of his lengthy illness, and we honor his remarkable strength. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lou, who passed away in January 2024. We extend our deepest gratitude to Tarza for her selfless care and devotion to Paul.
Paul was an exceptionally gifted artist. During his time at Central high school, he created the iconic mascot, the Tiger. His artwork was also showcased at the Museum of art on State Street. Paul and his wife Lou shared a passion for Military Reenactment. Paul had an unrelenting passion for history, and his love for life will continue to inspire generations to come.
