Pattrice Jones Lee, 93, passed away on December 5, 2019. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 9, 2019 with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. before the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.

Pattrice born in the Pleasant Grove Community of Clarke County, August 15, 1926. She was the oldest of four siblings and the only girl. She graduated from Pachuta High School where she played on the basketball team. She attended Clarke College, played basketball and graduated with an Associates Degree before moving to Jackson. After arriving in Jackson she met her future husband, Sam Lee and they were married 61 years until his death in 2012. She worked with the Mississippi State Highway Department for 38 years.

She worked full time and still prepared daily meals as well as maintaining the household. She, along with Sam, was a lifelong member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and truly enjoyed her participation in the Joy Sunday School Class. Her strong faith and love of the Lord served as the foundation of the family and was shared diligently with her children.

She was an avid sports fan who loved following her favorite teams, the Ole Miss Rebels and in whatever sports her children and grandchildren were participating. She was passionate in her support and never reserved in it's expression. In fact, the expression of her thoughts and opinions was never a subject of conjecture or doubt.

She experienced great joy and love for her grandchildren and took every opportunity to share in their lives and accomplishments. This was carried on with the blessing of her great grandchildren in her later years. She was a fantastic mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she will be missed always.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Lee; and an infant child.

She is survived by her son, Mike Lee (Nancy); her daughter, Becky Lee Morgan (Dennis); her grandchildren, Mark Lee (Maghen), Cara Williams (Jeff), Molly Besselievre (Blake) and Kate Morgan; her great grandchildren, Swayze Lee, Sawyer Lee and Camille Williams; and her brothers, Carter Jones, John Edward Jones (Williebell) and Bob Jones.
