Patricia Ann
Willis
March 31, 1932 – April 16, 2023
Patricia "Pat" Ann Willis went home to be with the Lord in Ridgeland, Mississippi on Sunday, April 16, 2023. She was 91 years old.
She was born in Miami, Florida and no matter where they lived, they were always "Miami Natives". She was born into a loving family with wonderful parents, Earl Moore Willis and Daisy Batson Willis. She had two beloved sisters, Mary Elizabeth "Bette" McCarl and Genevieve "Ginny" Holloway, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Edison High School and spent her childhood and early adult years in Miami where she met her husband of over 60 years, the late Wilbert Scott Willis "Bill". She later became a mother to her daughter, Sheryl Talton. The couple later moved northward to the Orlando area to raise their daughter. Pat was fiercely independent, kind, loving, smart, strikingly beautiful, musical, and very creative. As a young girl, her first job was a "soda jerk" at a local drug store and later a telephone operator. She was also way ahead of her time working as a Treasury Rep for Barnett Bank in Winter Park, Florida with her own territory and company car. It was really rare for a woman at that time. She was always young at heart and so fun. She loved good food, good music, travel, antiques, and spontaneous adventures. She also loved dessert, sometimes even before dinner! She was an amazing cook, though she didn't like to cook. Pat always had a beautifully decorated home and she absolutely loved the holidays. She was absolutely the best to ever do it. Truly the definition of "The Greatest Generation." She was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and great aunt to many. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her two sisters, her husband, her son in law Mark Talton and granddaughter Kelly. She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Talton, grandson, Rob Talton, granddaughter, Ashley (Talton) Ashley, and seven great grandchildren, Cole Talton, Abby Talton, Jack Talton, Sutton Ashley, Thomas Ashley, Kate Ashley, and Hank Ashley.
She will be greatly missed.
But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about those who have died, so that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have died.
