Patricia Moore

Patricia Carolyn Moore passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 85. A beloved wife, mother, “MaaMaa,” and sister, Patricia lived most of her life in Jackson, Mississippi, and spent her final years in Raymond, Mississippi.

Patricia loved God, reading, decorating her home, collecting porcelain birds and china, and spending time with her family, most especially, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She retired from a successful career in retail with a specialty in fine china and bridal sales and was successful in many other professions over her life; a hairdresser, school bus driver, and nursing home attendant. She was a classic beauty on the inside and out and brought joy to her family through the way she cared for them and made them feel special and deeply loved.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Melvin “DaaDee” Lowery and Myra Lowery, her husband, Lowry Moore, and her precious daughter, Melissa Moore.

Family left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Cathy Ryan (widow of Dennis), and Laura Polk (Alan); siblings, Odos Lowery, Clark Lowery (Frederique), Jo Ellen McLees (Bill), Dan Lowrey (Deborah), and Lea Hood (Tina); brother in-law, Oliver Moore (widower of Becky); grandchildren, Trish Bradford (Lee), Patrick Ryan (Kayla), Beth Hutchinson (Kevin), Crystal Jabour (Micheal), Kellie Russell (Keith), John Ryan (Sydney), and James Dabney Polk; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild on the way.

She will be honored by the family in a private ceremony.
