Funeral services for Rev. Otha David Allen, Sr., age 96, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024 in the chapel of Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home of Clinton, MS with Cody Allen officiating. Visitation will be held at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2024.

Otha was born on September 28, 1927 in Hall Summit, Louisiana to Robert (Bob) and Rosie Worley Allen, and went to meet his maker on June 4, 2024. He attended International Bible College in San Antonio, Texas, where he made some life-long friends. He loved the Lord, having been an active minister of the Gospel for 65 years. He was very industrious, working in the insurance industry until his retirement.

In addition to his parents, Otha is preceded in death by his eight brothers: Otis, Charlie, Marvin, Elton, James, Calvin, Willie, and Horace; Two sisters: Clara Mae Allen and Gloria Jean Lair.

He is survived by his wife of almost 74 years, Carolyn DePriest Allen; son: Otha David Allen, Jr. (Debbie) of Townsend, TN; son: Mark Allen (Sherry) of Flora, MS; Brother: Bobby Allen of Oak Grove, LA; Sister: Mary Davis (Garland) of West Monroe, LA. Four grandchildren: Dave Allen (Fiancé, Lindsey Taylor) of Knoxville, TN, Courtney Lantz (Brian) of Madison, MS, Andy Allen (Krista) of Flora, MS, and Cody Allen (Briccili) of Pelahatchie, MS. Five great-grandchildren: Brooks, Libby Claire, Ben, Nolan and Lilly. A host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
