Olaf B. "Duffy" Strand, 73, passed away on July 3, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Raymond, MS with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Mississippi VA Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS.

Duffy was born on June 28, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri. He served in Vietnam with the Marines. He worked for the Post Office as the lead mechanic in St. Louis. Duffy was a quarter master for the VFW Post 687 for ten years. When he moved to Mississippi he became a bingo caller. He was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan and also played the guitar.

Duffy was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Prudence Strand.

He is survived by his wife, Delena Strand; his daughters, Katie Strand, Amber Strand and Azure Wood (Ray); step children, Harry Lee, IV and Anna Lee; and four grandchildren, Jasper, Donalie, Lydia and Valerie.
