Ola Jeanette McLain, 76, passed away on January 1, 2025, at her home surrounded by her husband and children. She was born March 11, 1948, in Biloxi to Leon V. Richie and Lily lrene (Ford) Richie. Jeanette was a member of the Heritage and sanctuary choirs at Brandon Baptist Church. She also enjoyed attending Sunday school at Brandon Baptist Church. Jeanette enjoyed traveling for as long as her health allowed. Along with her husband Mike, she visited every US state with the exception of Hawaii. She shared this passion with her children and grandchildren as well.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her father, Leon V. Richie, mother, Lily Irene (Ford) Richie, sister, Hazel Barry, and brother, Doug Richie.

Jeanette is survived by her husband of 35 years, Mike McLain, her children Monica Fuller, Al (Michele) Reeves, stepchildren, Chuck (Dori) McLain, Danny (Rebecca) McLain, grandchildren, Kayla (Jeremiah) Downs, A.J. Reeves, Allison (Aaron) Henderson, Dalton Reeves, Kathryn Reeves, step grandchildren, Meagan (Mark) Vanderford, Sara (Nick) Cook, 4 great grandchildren and her sister-in-love, Geri Richie.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5, from 12:00-1:00 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home of Flowood. Interment will be at 3:30 at Odd Fellow Cemetery Quitman, Mississippi.

Service will be held at 1:00 in the Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Huey Dedmon and John Vess, will officiate the service. Graveside service at Odd Fellow Cemetery Quitman, Mississippi, will be officiated by Bro. Keith Stewart.

Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Downs, Aaron Henderson, A.J. Reeves, Dalton Reeves, Justin Richie, and Logan Yarber. Honorary pallbearer will be Tad Downs.
