Neil "Nickie" Warren Davis Crosby, 76 Resident of Richland died September 21, 2018 in her home of natural causes. Nickie was born September 21, 1942 in Jackson, MS. She is preceded in death by her father, Neil Warren Davis, mother, Cecilia Leone Booth Davis, and sister Geneva Mae Davis Ross. She was married on November 5, 1971 in Richland to Hugh "Bucky" Crawford Crosby, Sr. She graduated in 1960 from Murrah High School and went on to obtain her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 1997 from Belhaven University. She was retired from the Mississippi Employment Security Commission after 28 years of service. In her free time she enjoyed painting, reading, traveling, camping, NASCAR and riding motorcycles or taking a ride with the top down in her yellow T-bird with her sweetheart. She was also a published author. She will be most remembered for her kind heart and charitable spirit. She is survived by her spouse Hugh "Bucky" Crawford Crosby, Sr., her children Debra Richardson (Charles "Chuck" Richardson), Lisa Shields (the late Lewie Shields), Melony Crosby, Hugh Crosby, Jr. (Mary Crosby) and Robert Shuler (Annette Shuler), her grandchildren Thomas and Jordan Richardson, Kristin Shields Smallwood and Cameron Shields (Mallory Shields), Ashley Crosby, Robin Crosby, Kaylee Crosby, Bo Crosby, Anna Bradley, Matt Bradley and Zach Bradley, her great grandchildren Bella and Elisa Smallwood, Nicole Crosby and Chloe Allen, nephew William "Deuce" McDevitt, II (Tonya McDevitt), Trae and David McDevitt and many other loved ones and friends.
Services will be held in her honor Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Flowood, MS. Viewing will be Tuesday afternoon from 12pm-2pm with a Graveside service to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park South in Jackson, MS at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society.
