Nancy Ruth McQuirter Woodward of Clinton MS died on February 10, 2017. Visitation is at 1:00pm with the service at 2:00pm at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton MS with the Rev Michael Cannon officiating. Interment is Sunday at 2:00pm in Memorial Park Cemetery in Louisville MS.
Mrs. Woodward was born in Winston County MS on August 25, 1919, the youngest of eight children to the late Nancy Elizabeth Carr and James Colby McQuirter. She was a charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, now Providence Presbyterian Church.
Retired from the Mississippi State Tax Commission, she was preceded in death by her husband, S. Lamar Woodward.
She is survived by her son Steve Woodward and his wife Sue of Clinton, MS and a daughter Candace Waldron and her husband David of Newnan GA. Also grandchildren Scott Woodward and wife Nicole of Daphne AL; Julie Woodward Tallman and her husband Dale of Clinton MS. Stephanie Waldron Rafferty and her husband Michael of Pensacola FL; Douglas Waldron and his wife Sherry of Newnan GA. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren: Elizabeth and Josephine Woodward; Samantha and Nathan Tallman; Andrew and Alafaire Rafferty; Alex, Sam & Matthew Waldron.
