Nancy Omerza, a resident of Clinton, died Saturday, November 22 2014, at Clinton Healthcare after a brief illness. She was 84 years old.
Nancy was born April 28, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan, the oldest of four children of Roy and Lillian Brown. She met and married her husband of 59 years, Allan, at the Naval Air Reserve based in Michigan. They remained in Michigan until they moved to Clinton, Mississippi in 1975. Nancy retired from Mississippi College at the School of Nursing as Executive Assistant to the Dean where she worked for over 15 years.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Roger, and her husband Allan. She is survived by her sister Nora Antaeus, and brother Allen Brown, as well as two children, son, Eric Michelle Omerza and daughter, Laurel Sons: grandchildren, Emily, Ashley, and Matthew Omerza and Justin Yelverton fianc Amber Smitherman, also greatgranddaughters Lainey and Allysonn Yelverton.
A visitation will be held at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
