Nancy Thornton Duren, 94, of Edwards, MS, passed away Sunday October 19, 2025.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 22, 2025 from 9:00am until 11:00am with services following at 11:00am all at the Edwards Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the Edwards Cemetery.

Mrs. Duren was born in Lena, MS the daughter of Charlie M. and Annetta Thornton.  After working in the Banking industry for 40 years, she worked for another 10 years for the town of Edwards.  She loved to help others and she was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She is survived by four children, James C. Duren, Jr. (Kimberly); Charles Emmett Duren (Sandy); Kathryn Gray; and Tommy Duren; she is also survived by 15 grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and her sister, Betty Carroll.

Pallbearers will be Marc Duren, Jason Duren, Matthew Duren, Stephen Duren, Michael Kinslow, Josh Gray and Alex Gray

The family request memorials be made to the Edwards Cemetery Association.
